Contact Us

The State Demographic Center serves as a liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau and as a resource to all Minnesotans to find the demographic data they need.

Data Requests
For general data requests or questions, please e-mail your question to demography.helpline@state.mn.us. Emailing this general account ensures the quickest response to your question. A staff member will typically respond to your email within 2-3 days. Legislative and state agency requests will be prioritized. If your question is specific to our population estimates or population projections, you may wish to contact the respective staff specialist (information below).

Presentation Requests
Our staff members, including the State Demographer, give presentations that reach thousands of Minnesotans each year — to help them better understand key demographic, economic, and social trends in our state. There is no cost for this service. However, not all events can be accommodated. To request a speaker, please first complete a Presentation Request Form and return via email to demography.helpline@state.mn.us. Requests received at least two months prior to the event are strongly encouraged.
